RACE INFORMATION

 

NEW REQUIREMENT

It's important to know that this year you only get ONE temporary weekend racing license.  So, if you are planning to race 2 or more weekends, you need to go to www.ussa.org and sign up for your season long license.

 

PNSA GOAL

We welcome all levels of skiers, from skiers looking to challenge themselves through racing, to the most avid ski racer who  attends every event they can.  Our goal is to have  fun, ski with and meet new friends while improving one's racing skills.

 

Your goal is to bring a friend to a race and spread the word  about Masters' Racing.

 

 

PNSA OVERVIEW

PNSA Hosts races throughout the Pacific Northwest, from January to April.  Race in as few or as many races as you like.  There  is a points competition per gender and age category.  These awards are given out at the PNSA Championships at Mt. Bachelor, OR in April.

 

 

USSA/PNSA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Racers must have a  current USSA Masters Competition Card.  This must be shown at the  time of race sign in.  A temporary , or "day-of-race" membership can be purchased at the race site.

 

 

FIS EQUIPMENT RULES

 

FIS MASTERS EQUIPMENT RULE CHANGE: After a lot of lobbying by USSA, FIS Masters  has changed its equipment rules to the following:

   The present specifications for the length and radius of skis are changed to be recommendations. 

     Exceptions:  the ski length in super G may not be less that 185 cm (men) and 180 cm (ladies).

    Rules concerning the maximum height of ski/plates are recommended.  The heights are reduced as follows:

    Maximum distance from bottom to boot sole:  50 mm. 

    Maximum for boot sole to base of foot:  45 mm.
