JUNIOR RACERS AWARDS.   Following a tradition started a few years ago, the PNSA Masters awarded a $500 grant to each outstanding male and female junior racer - as selected by the PNSEF Board.   Brooke Wales (Mission Ridge MRST) and David Owsley (Schweitzer SARS) were the recipients.

NEW BIBS:  We noticed that some of our older bibs were getting a bit raggy.  So, we purchased a new set of bibs - numbers 1 -  150.  If you want to replace your old bib. write a check for $15.00 to PNSA Masters and provide  the number of your bib and your address.  Send it to:  Richard Zimmerman 4921 N Scenic View Tacoma, WA 98407.  You'll get your new bib in the mail.

(January 2008)

ENTRY FEES:   Fees for 2009 season:  They will remain the same; SL & GS $25 per day; SG $35 per  day.  The PNSA  Championships, the Western Regionals, and the US National Championships each have their own fee schedule.  Those fees are based on their cost structure.

(April 2008)

FIS MASTERS EQUIPMENT RULE CHANGE: After a lot of lobbying by USSA, FIS Masters  has changed its equipment rules to the following:

1.  The present specifications for the length and radius of skis are changed to be recommendations.  Exceptions:  the ski length in super G may not be less that 185 cm (men) and 180 cm (ladies).

2. Rules concerning the maximum height of ski/plates are recommended.  The heights are reduced as follows:

Maximum distance from bottom to boot sole:  50 mm.

Maximum for boot sole to base of foot:  45 mm.

The key word is recommended.

(August 2007)
